In your opinion is the Raw World Heavyweight Title the WCW Heavyweight Title?

Its not an opinion its pretty much fact. Whether its the same or not iunno cause i rarely watched wcw but it is the same. What a dumb mark question to ask.

Yes, I think it is...because if the WWE title was the WCW title they wouldn't change to the name...

No, it's a tottally differnet title.
They're trying to move away from the WCW!
But I reckon they should combine the two Main Event titles and have just the one WWE Title.
Or call them the 'Raw' Title and 'Smackdown' Title!

The Raw World Title is the same look as the old WCW title.. But as a graphics man.. i've noticed little difference in the belt itself.. it's not exactly the same as it was even when Bishoff took it out of retirement and "Handed It" to HHH. The belt itself is a WWE take of the WCW title in look and design.. but not an exact replica from the old WCW days title...
As to what it represents.. YES.. I feel and I have always called the Raw World title. the WCW championship belt.. no matter who's wearing it. If it looks like a DUCK and Quacks like a DUCK as the saying does..
It looks like the old WCW title and it represents the WCW/NWA lineage that dates back to Buddy Rodgers, Harley Race, Frank Gotch and The Immortal George Hackensmidt from the eairly 1900's. IF they were to ever see the Raw World title as anything different.. they would redesing the title to fit the WWE style and look and it would be an original WWE Raw title.. not a WCW after effect...

I think your missing the point,
In my opinion the history of the World title can be traced back to the WCW / NWA title. But in a lot of peoples eyes the first World champion was Triple H, and in their opinion the title Benoit now holds was never held by David Arquette.

i pics of the wcw and world title and they are the same but the world belt as wwe on the top of the belt and an extra plate with wwe on it
