Who played the best Batman and why? Who do you think should be the next Batman?

Let's see best Batman. Clooney was OK but the film around him was so bad that I could not watch him (as Batman) or it again.

Unlike some I liked Kilmer's versin of Batman.

Keaton was Better than either of the other 2 reinventing Batman as as 'Dark Knight' which was a lot closer to the comics than the Camp TV prog.

Adam West was a great Batman in a camp sort of way but had little to do with the comics.

I consider this a tie Adam West & Keaton but as I can only vote once I vote West.

As for next Batman I would hire Jake Gyllanhall if I was Directing a Batman film.

I went with Keaton, it seemed more realistic of all the actors portraying the Dark Knight as a character.

Christian bale is supposed to be the new batman for the movie that's suppoded to be in the starting stages or possibily even filming by now maybe?

Michael Keaton was the best Batman. I do not really know who I would pick to be the next Batman. There are many great actors that could play the role of Batman.

Maybe Gary Sinise who played in "C.S.I.: NY, Imposter, A Gentleman's Game, Reindeer Games, and The Green Mile. He has played many great roles and is an excellent actor".

How about Martin Henderson who has played in "Torque, The Ring, and Windtalkers". He could be a good actor for a new Batman, seeing Torque you know he would be able to drive the Batcycle well.

And my third choice could be Dean Cain, he played the role of superman very well in "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" he has also stared in "Firetrap, Futuresport, The Perfect Husband: The Laci Peterson Story, and was the host of Ripley's Believe It or Not!".

Those would be a couple of my top choices for the next Batman. Every one always goes for the top current actors to play the roles. I would like to see some of the lesser known actors that I have listed above toget a shot of playing the hero.

Speaking of bad casting for comic book movies, i've just read that Jake Gyllenhaal has been signed to be the new Superman for the next Superman feature.
