Is John Cena smackdowns replacement for the Rock?

John Cena is the new motor-mouth of Smackdown but has he replaced 'The Great One' that is the Rock?

The Rock can never and will never be replaced. However, Cena probably is being set up by the WWE writers and powers that be to be the new face of SD.

judging by his Mic skills Cena is the next rock...and by the Video he did at WMXX Randy Orton has a fair future with the mic also on RAW maybe he'll become the next HHH type heel.

I don't consider The Rock & Cena to have much in common opther than Mic Skills so I vote no.

well Cane is very good on the Mic but he not any sort of replacement, as noone could replace the charm and wit Dewayne Johnson has provided. The main thing that has made him so good is his way of improvising in the ring. Cena has that same quality, and that is the reason why he's as popular as he his.

good wrestlers that can't come across to the crowd this way flownder in the mid card area like Christian and others. (nothing against Christian but he could be in the main event if he really wanted it.)

But Cena with his good inring skills to entertain the masses, and great Mic skills will eventually be the future World Champ, remeber he was a OVW World champ and the guys that held that title mostly all work in the WWE now.

Actually, this is a good point..
I don't think he's replaced The Rock.
More became second best on the mic in the WWE!

Anyway, keeping on topic..wouldn't the promos be great if these two were to face each other at WM21?!

i never liked Cena, The gimmick is lame, he isnt a very good wrestler. He needs a new gimmick to prove he is the next rock, sorry folks we wont see a World Champion Whigger. It will be a disgrace to good gimmicks if he ever holds that title.

The Rock is his own gimmick. He is a Cocky/Hero. Cena is no where near as good on the mic as Rock.

well done Jake you nailed it. Rock was the people's champ because he was himself and is genuinely that entertaining. Cena is doing a gimmick that will eventually get old. I don't think Cena is the wrestler that most of you think he is. I just don't see all the talent, I think he missed his boat at the Royal Rumble where he was out classed by a great wrestler, Chris Benoit. The Rock is The Rock and he will most likely never be replaced, Cena is just a wrestler who has a good following right now.
