Has anyone purchased the new album from Velvet Revolver titled Contraband. It has former members of Guns-N'-Roses along with the former lead singer from STP

Slash -guitar, Duff McKagan -bass, Matt Sorum -drums, Dave Kushner -guitar, and Scott Weiland -vocals.

Besides the voice in the music, the music sounds almost the same.
I enjoyed the new album, I just wish that Izzy Stradlin would have joined the band.
List your thoughts and opinions here.

It's Ironic This Was Posted, I've Been Preaching Of 'Velvet Revolver' For A While.

I've Heard 'Slither.' Extremely Good.

Slash's The Main Addition, And The Reason I Became Interested.

Slash was Guns and Roses and Slash ios Velvet Revolver.

Slash is easily the best guitarest of the "Hair Metal" era. He is also on of the reasons this band is pretty good.

As for Scott Weiland, i have always disliked STP, i think they are one of the most overrated bands of the 90's.

VR is definetly fairing better than the new GNR which sucks.

I might have to chek this out, as a fan of both former groups, GNR and STP.

The big debate in the eairly 90's was who was the better band and singer (STP with Weiland or PJ with Vedder) I leaned towards Wieland myself as i'm sure jake would go for Vedder).

But i liked STP's sound and even got Talk Show an album the band made with another singer when Weiland was off in rehab.

After I get hold of some of the songs i'll repost my thoughts on this band..
