Suddenly…. Strobe lights started flashing.

They were followed by green laser-like lights.

And then…. A techno song began playing. Well…. Techno… It was more like Hardcore…

This kinda sounds like The Nihilist…

Well then yes, it’s hardcore. The Nihilist, while carrying a name that James might not completely agree with, was capable of unleashing infectious heart-pounding beats that were sure to get your blood pumping.

It might even make you dance, that is, if you weren’t the only person in the club. But sadly, and quite peculiarly, this is the case right now with James Whitman.

Hmmm…. this is not an ordinary club. Of course not or else Thomas wouldn’t tell me he’d meet me here. Thomas isn’t normal. I should have known that by now.

Harsh as it may be, one would have to agree with these thoughts if one would have known Thomas for as long as James did.

Actually, if you DID know Thomas as long as James had known him, there’s one thought that might have crossed your mind as soon as you arrived at a nightclub where it was completely dark and the door locked behind you.

Well that thought DID cross James’ mind, but he merely dismissed it, simply with a…

Neeeh…. He wouldn’t.

As fate would have it, James was wrong. Or right; depending on how you look at it. He was right the first time, when he thought this might be one of Thomas’ freaky training methods.

He was wrong the second time, when he thought that Thomas would not do something that weird. Remember; nothing is too weird for Thomas.

Finally… the door is opening again!

But our hero would not have been so happy if he had known what was behind that door.

Two large men, followed by a man wearing a black robe and a mask that covers his face. It is important to note that, while he IS a talented wrestler and knows how to fight off attackers, James did not think these two men would attack him.

Which is exactly the reason why he did not expect the vicious beating he was about to receive and was not able to retaliate as both men walked up to him and started pounding him as if he were a human piñata.

Eventually, James came to. His mugging-like-beating induced unconsciousness had ended, and he opened his eyes. The man in the black robe was the only person left in the room besides James, and if you’ve gotten a feeling that you might know who this man is... well…

Then you’re probably right.

The mask was taken off, revealing Thomas Williams’ disappointed face.

We can conclude three things from this experience, while learning a thing or two from our friend Thomas.

One; Never use two extremely strong hit men to try to help your best friend prepare himself for a triple threat match, even if his match is against two strong guys, one of which is psychotic and the other of which is known as the Real Deal.

Two; Never give a battered and bruised, yet ridiculously furious, wrestler a chance to get up and get close to you if you’re the reason for his anger.

Three; If you’re going to run for your life from a madman who’s trying to kick your behind for having him assaulted when you should have been helping him prepare for his journey to the Intercontinental Title, make sure you don’t get stopped by two immensely powerful hit men, whom you forgot to pay for their services. This would provide a terribly uncomfortable situation for you.

Especially if you don’t have any money on you.

Can you say three-on-one beat down?
