better grappler angle or benoit

am i the only one who thinks that kurt angle is the better grappler than benoit.
i mean i really like benoit's intensity but i am talking about grappler.
active current wrestling grappler.

I agree that angle is better cause of the greko-roman. And Angle seems to still have the intensity but he like always seems to be right on top of his opponent. He is on eof the greatest grapplers of all time.

Kurt Angle is a better armature wrestler than Chris Benoit and has the Olympic gold medals to prove it.

Well Angle has to win this but Benoit is pretty close in most categories with Angles except maybe charisma and mic skills.

Although I have to point out that the background of Gold at the olympics and his success has very little to do with Angles skill within matches.


Yes in a shoot fight Angle would mangle most of the WWE roster if not all. However what makes Angle so great, especially right now is his ability to focus on his opponents strengths. He seems to know how his opponent can move and his abilities within the ring. He doesnt seem to have one style with which he tries to mesh another guys talent around, he seem to be able to set out his game plan to best benefit the other guy, thus putting on a great show of a match. He could brawl with Austin, tangle with Eddie and fly to complement Rey....the guy makes the Big Show look good and show how Show could be utilised if enough guys could perform the way Angle did against him.


Benoit is indeed quite well versed in wrestling and his ability is most definatly not in question but it seems to be Angles work ethic that really shoves him above the rest of the roster.

HHH would be quite content to be the supreme champion whilst the product decayed, but Angle seems to be the team player.....much rather being a contender for the best product available.
