Rocky Stevens is just pulling up to the back parking lot of the Syndicate Hall. His tag team partner Jamie Noxx is know where to be found as he is off with his girlfriend Jocelyn Wilson. Rocky makes his way backstage to the boss’s office as he bumps into Antonio DeMarco backstage.
DeMarco: What the Hell do you want Stevens?
Rocky: Nothing…I never said a word Tony!
Demarco: Well…where’s your Master…the World Heavyweight Champion?
Rocky: MASTER! Ok fine…I’m not into mind games Tony… and I really doubt you could get me angry enough to get into it with you here. I’m sure your well aware of Timmons’ “Zero Tolerance” policy for fighting in the back and fighting outside the confines of the ring!
DeMarco: Of course…hide behind the rulebook of the high and mighty Paul Timmons. Just as I thought Rocky, You’re nothing but a coward now that you’re an active wrestler and not just a hired hit man for Timmons…doing his dirty work in the ring.
Stevens leans in closer to DeMarco and they are now face to face. He eases back and smiles big.
Rocky: Not tonight Tony. Say what you want. I’ll face you in the ring and in the RING only. And after I pin you squarely in the ring…1…2…3! I’ll become the #1 contender for that hunk of gold right there over your shoulder. (Rocky points at the IC title slung over DeMarco’s right shoulder) And When I do defeat you… I’ll see to it that at “Fighting Spirit” the November 10th Pay-Per-View, It will be Me facing you again for THAT title.
DeMarco: Dream all you want Stevens… You couldn’t beat me on your best day. And if I’m not mistaken those days are firmly in the past. WWA, MLF, JAPAN, AAA/LLL… none of your past accolades mean anything to me when you step into the ring with me Rocky! And you’re right… If you… and I do mean IF… you beat me, you WILL be the #1 contender. But even still, at “Fighting Spirit” You will NOT take what’s MINE!
Demarco and Stevens stare down one more time as DeMarco departs. Stevens continues down the hall to a door marked “CEO Timmons”
Timmons: Rock… come in I have a plan for your match at Wildside!
Rocky: Don’t bother Paul…I just had a run in with the IC Champ himself in the hallway.
Timmons: WHAT??? You didn’t injure him did you?
Rocky: No Paul…we just had a friendly chat about our match this Wednesday night…nothing happened.
Timmons: Good… now come here and sit. I have a few Demarco tapes you might remember…
Timmons hands Rocky a tape marked “Joey Rage” as he pops in the tape to study Antonio DeMarco… the early years!
